Janet Hardin

Executive Director

Janet Hardin was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from Hume-Fogg Academic High School, received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing from Belmont University. Prior to joining Matt Hardin Law as Executive Director in January 2016, Janet spent much of her career in Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development. Her strong leadership and strategic business background is underpinned by her love of building and understanding how things work. Janet is passionate about fostering a culture of comradery, accountability, and continuous improvement, in order to provide excellent service to the firm’s clients.

Janet and her husband Matt are active members of West End United Methodist Church in Nashville. Janet currently chairs West End Preschool’s Finance Committee and sits on the Preschool’s Executive Committee. She has previously served a three-year term on the church’s finance committee. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business, and has also served as an ambassador for Belmont University Alumni Association.

Family is a huge part of Janet’s life. Janet enjoys spending time with Matt and their three children, Henry, Grace, and Vivian. She is thankful for frequent family get-togethers with her parents, brother and his family, who are all in the Nashville area. Janet loves books, puzzles, games, live music, fine dining, and attending sporting events with Matt. While she will always root for the Fighting Irish, she has learned to love UT Football too.
