On March 4, 2024, a single-engine plane crashed near Interstate 40 in West Nashville after the pilot reported engine trouble and requested an emergency landing. Authorities reported five people died in the crash.

The 2015 CSX Train Derailment in South Nashville (Berry Hill)
In July 2015, four CSX freight train cars derailed and flipped in the Berry Hill area of South Nashville. Reports indicated no injuries, but the incident drew significant emergency response and raised safety concerns about freight rail operations through dense metro areas.

The 2020 Christmas Day Explosion
On December 25, 2020, an explosion occurred in downtown Nashville after an RV bomb was detonated. The FBI later reported that Anthony Quinn Warner acted alone and that the event was an intentional act.
